Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Phreak Nakkan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sao Marcos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nakkan comes into the arena with Voodoo blaring out of the sound system. Sao Marcos is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Marcos feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Sao Marcos dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Nakkan shoots in looking for a takedown. Marcos tries to sprawl out of it but Nakkan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Marcos manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Marcos felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nakkan connects with a nice short shot to Marcos's temple.
