The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volka thuds a left hand into Sharpe's body.
Volka throws a shot from downtown. Sharpe moves away and avoids it.
Volka tries to clinch there but Sharpe circles away.
Volka pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Volka misses with a wild combination.
Good exchange - Volka coming out on top.
Volka looks to throw the jab but Sharpe is out of range.

Volka moves into the clinch.
Sharpe is trying to force a seperation but Volka has the dominant position.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Sharpe.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Volka makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Sharpe tries to break free but Volka pushes him back against the cage.

Volka throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Sharpes head.
Sharpe is looking to break free of the clinch but Volka has double underhooks.

Volka lands with a right to the head.

Sharpe manages to break the clinch.
Volka lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Sharpe at a distance.
Volka tries to clinch there but Sharpe circles away.

Volka clinches.
Oh Sharpe is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Sharpe is trying to push Volka away but Volka has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Volka unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Sharpe! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Volka is unloading with more strikes now! Sharpe drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yuri Volka!
In defeat, Richard Sharpe stepped up to the mic, saying 'He's a great fighter, I will learn from this experience and come back stronger than before.'.
