The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stongarm changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Savisaar looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Savisaar is trying to control Stongarm's posture but Stongarm avoids it.
Savisaar is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Savisaar is working to avoid the ground and pound but Stongarm connects with a decent elbow.
Stongarm is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Savisaar is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Stongarm wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Savisaar, who protects the arm well.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Savisaar is looking for a sweep.
Savisaar is trying to control Stongarm's posture but Stongarm avoids it.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Savisaar can do anything to dispel that myth.
Savisaar is looking to regain half guard here but Stongarm keeps moving and retains side control.
Savisaar can't do much from the bottom here.

Stongarm has hold of Savisaar's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Savisaar tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Stongarm cranks the arm and Savisaar screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Savisaar, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
