PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Matt Frederick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glen Lerner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frederick comes to the cage accompanied by Animal I have Become. On his way into the cage it seems that Matt Frederick has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Matt Frederick seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Glen Lerner!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Joseph Jones and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lerner is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Frederick's half guard.

Frederick has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lerner can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Frederick escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lerner gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lerner stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Frederick swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lerner looks up at the clock and then as Frederick takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lerner smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Glen Lerner comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lerner has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
