The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Rios misses.
Nelson throws a hook to the side of Rios's head but Rios sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Rios throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Nelson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Rios has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Nelson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Rios steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Nelson. That one must have hurt.

Nelson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Rios lands a leg kick that knocks Nelson off balance momentarily.

Nelson scores with a sloppy right hand. Rios should have avoided that one.

It looks like Nelson has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Rios is rocked!
Nelson sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Rios's defenses. It connects perfectly with Rios's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
