Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Vladimirov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyoto Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vladimirov comes into the arena with Pelageya & Darya Moroz - Walking through a field with a horse blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Rua's choice of entrance music: AVANTASIA-Seven Angels. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vladimirov misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rua.
Rua closes this distance looking for a takedown but Vladimirov circles away.

We've been informed that Rua has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rua fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Vladimirov looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Rua dives in and grabs Vladimirov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Vladimirov pushes down on Rua's head and hops out.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Rua with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Vladimirov to score with a decent uppercut.

Vladimirov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vladimirov wants it to stay on the feet.

Rua closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rua lands in his opponent's guard.
Rua is in close to Vladimirov's body, working some short punches and elbows.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Good leg kick by Rua there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Fedor Vladimirov.
I think Rua has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
