The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torrio uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Turk.

Torrio changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Turk looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Turk is not content to let Torrio control the position.
Turk is looking for a sweep.

Torrio is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Turk knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Torrio wants to lay and pray for a moment but Turk keeps working.
Torrio tries to move into full mount but can't pass Turk's legs.

Torrio goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Turk has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Torrio but great work by Turk.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Turk throws an elbow but Torrio slips to the side and avoids it well.
Torrio regains half guard.
Torrio is looking for a sweep. Turk is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Turk lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Turk works his way into full mount!
Turk pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Torrio manages to regain half guard. Good work.
