Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Layne Fields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lukasz Korczynski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lukasz Korczynski!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fields tries to close the distance and clinch up but Korczynski swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Korczynski blocks a head kick by Fields.
Fields thumps Korczynski with a low kick.
Fields misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Korczynski has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Fields tries to land a front kick but Korczynski steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Fields throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Korczynski throws a series of punches but Fields avoids them all with ease.

Fields rushes Korczynski and presses him up against the cage.
Korczynski is looking to break free of the clinch but Fields has double underhooks.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Fields obliges.

Korczynski is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Fields - that's hurt Korczynski badly! Oh, another knee lands and Korczynski is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Korczynski doesn't seem to be complaining.
