Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Newman Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry William French (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). French is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Blaze of Glory. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Newman Ferguson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Henry William French!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Steve Erwin and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
French lands with a hook. Ferguson tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
French throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ferguson looks to score with a jab to the body but French is just out of range.

Ferguson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Ferguson with a flurry of punches that miss.
Ferguson is looking to work some ground and pound but French has wrist control.
Ferguson wants to stand but French has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Ferguson trying to control the position from guard on top but French is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ferguson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. French swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ferguson postures up.
French really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ferguson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ferguson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
French wants to stand but Ferguson is controlling the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ferguson tries to move into range but French moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ferguson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
French will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
French lands a slapping body shot.
French misses with a wild combination.
Ferguson just misses with a punch to the body.
French throws a right hand that Ferguson ducks under and follows up with a left that Ferguson also avoids with ease.
French misses with an attempted mid kick.
French fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ferguson manages to avoid it.
Ferguson slips a jab and a cross from French.
French lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
French lands with a hook. Ferguson tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ferguson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with French but French pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ferguson is breathing heavily.
French tries to bum rush Ferguson with a series of wild strikes but Ferguson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
French misses with a low kick as Ferguson jumps back.
Ferguson walks into a straight right hand from French.

Ferguson is rocked!
A big right followed by a crushing left from French knocks Ferguson out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
