Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Freeman Blackford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyoto Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rua has chosen AVANTASIA-Seven Angels as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Freeman Blackford!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lyoto Rua!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and Donald Grub.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blackford looks to score with a jab to the body but Rua is just out of range.
Rua lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rua. Blackford does a little dance to reset his feet.
Blackford thows a body shot but no joy.
Rua tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rua looks to land a right hand but Blackford moved out of range.
Blackford listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Rua lands a glancing blow to the side of Blackford's head.
Nice takedown defense from Blackford. No joy for Rua on that attempt.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Rua closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Blackford did well to prevent Rua getting side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Blackford is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rua pulls his head out easily.
Rua wants to take a breather but Blackford is having none of it.
Rua not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Rua is just content to waste time from the top position. Blackford takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Rua loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Blackford looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Rua has picked Blackford up and slammed him! Blackford can't keep hold of the triangle and Rua manages to pass to side control!
Blackford is not content to let Rua control the position.
Blackford is trying to work for a sweep but Rua has mounted him!
Rua lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Blackford is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Rua scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Blackford?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rua pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Blackford is rocked!

Rua softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Blackford is out cold! Rua jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lyoto Rua!
