Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asenio misses with a body kick.
Kron Asenio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Asenio fails to land with a series of punches.
Asenio throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hoeberl shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Asenio's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Asenio wants to stand up but Hoeberl is controlling him.
Hoeberl trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Asenio has his feet on Hoeberl's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Hoeberl closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Hoeberl jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Asenio walks away with a smile on his face. Hoeberl gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Hoeberl moves out of range of the body kick.
Hoeberl shoots in for a double leg but Asenio sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Asenio misses with a combination
and Hoeberl counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Asenio is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Hoeberl dives into side control.
Asenio pushes Hoeberl away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hoeberl gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hoeberl tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Asenio is not content to let Hoeberl control the position.
Hoeberl tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Asenio is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Hoeberl has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Asenio throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Asenio misses with a double jab.
Asenio throws a right hand that Hoeberl ducks under and follows up with a left that Hoeberl also avoids with ease.
Asenio swats away the attempt to clinch by Hoeberl.
Hoeberl takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Asenio looks winded!
Hoeberl throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Asenio's waist but Asenio gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hoeberl off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Manfred Hoeberl. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hoeberl tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Hoeberl shoots in looking for a takedown. Asenio tries to sprawl out of it but Hoeberl keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Asenio manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Asenio throws a right hand that Hoeberl ducks under and follows up with a left that Hoeberl also avoids with ease.
Hoeberl shoots in and drives through. Asenio sprawls well.
Asenio swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Asenio displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hoeberl.
Hoeberl fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Hoeberl tries to close the distance and clinch up but Asenio swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kron Asenio is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Asenio throws a nice looking combination but Hoeberl bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hoeberl will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hoeberl moves in looking to clinch but Asenio pushes him off.

Hoeberl wants to clinch up but Asenio keeps it at a distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hoeberl looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Hoeberl closes the distance and clinches.
Hoeberl tries to pull guard but Asenio holds him up against the cage and eventually Hoeberl drops back down to his feet.

We've been informed that Asenio has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Asenio misses with a body punch.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Hoeberl as Asenio tries to tie him up.

Hoeberl jumps guard but Asenio turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Hoeberl goes for a takedown attempt but Asenio pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Manfred Hoeberl will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Hoeberl shoots in and drives through. Asenio sprawls well.
Asenio throws a sloppy head kick and Hoeberl moves out of range easily.
Hoeberl will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Asenio cracks a nice hook into Hoeberl's ribs.

Asenio stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Asenio lands a big right hand that sends Hoeberl crashing to the mat! Asenio stays standing though and waves Hoeberl back to his feet!

It looks like Manfred Hoeberl has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oh Hoeberl is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Asenio throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hoeberl.

Hoeberl seems to have got his legs back now.

and Hoeberl counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Hoeberl jumps guard but Asenio stands there with Hoeberl around his waist. Hoeberl gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Asenio is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Hoeberl decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Hoeberl wants to lay and pray for a moment but Asenio keeps working.
Asenio really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hoeberl. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Asenio makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Asenio shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hoeberl dives in for a single leg takedown but Asenio sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Kron Asenio showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Asenio takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Hoeberl has hold of Asenio's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Asenio tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Hoeberl cranks the arm and Asenio screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Asenio, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Manfred Hoeberl!
In defeat, Kron Asenio stepped up to the mic, saying 'I want to say sorry to my fans, family and coaches. I left my heart in the cage for you guys, but dont worry ill be back. Thank you all!'.
