Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cacildis Me (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Marth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cacildis Me!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jack Marth!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Josh West and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marth is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Marth throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Me.
Marth has a takedown stuffed.

Marth closes the distance and clinches.
Marth is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Me is defending well.
Marth wants a takedown but no success here.
Cacildis Me has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Marth.
Marth goes for a takedown attempt but Me pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Marth misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Marth shoots and misses

and Me counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Marth!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Marth takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Me scoring with punches and elbows.
Me wants to lay and pray for a moment but Marth keeps working.
Me working the ground and pound from side control.
Me scores with punches from side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Me connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Marth some visible discomfort.
Me has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Marth is not content to let Me control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Me tries for a kimura but Marth is defending well.

Me thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Me creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Me lands a few punches from side control.
Marth is trying to control Me's posture but Me avoids it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Me is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Marth knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Me lands a decent elbow from side control.
Me working the head and body with strikes.
Marth tries to bench press Me off him but Me keeps the position.
Marth manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Marth passes to full mount!
Me is trying to escape the mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Marth trying to control but Me is having none of it.
Me working to try and regain half guard.
Me manages to regain half guard. Good work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Me is pressing down on Marth's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cacildis Me dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Marth tries to clinch but Me moves away

and Me counters with a nice double leg into side control. Marth won't be happy with that.
Me cracks Marth with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Marth tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Marth is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Marth trying to control but Me postures up.
Marth gets full guard.
Marth keeping moving, preventing Me from controlling successfully.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Me stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marth swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Marth is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Marth escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Me gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Marth is breathing heavily.
Marth keeping full guard, as Me tries to pass.
Me landing with the ground and pound.
Me lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Me is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Me working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Marth's head.
Me wants to control from the top but Marth keeps moving.
Cacildis Me overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Me tries to free his leg and advance position but Marth is retaining full guard.
Me landing some decent shots from guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Me's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Me with a nice head shot there.
Me chips away with some ground and pound.
Marth is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Me is controlling him.
Marth throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Marth is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Me trying to control but Marth is working from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Marth manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Marth trying to control but Me is having none of it.
Marth misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Me is desperately trying to improve his position but Marth has a good base and remains in mount.
Me on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Me tries to get out of the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Marth misses with some ground and pound and Me recovers position to half guard.
Me gets back to full guard.

Me working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Marth doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Marth manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Me is looking for a triangle but Marth pushes his legs off easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cacildis Me dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Me is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Marth!
Marth wants to control but Me is having none of it.
Me lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Marth hang on?
Marth is trying to escape the mount.
Me lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Me tries to control but Marth wriggling away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Marth takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Marth in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Marth is wriggling around trying to escape.
Marth takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Me is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Marth to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Marth shrugs it off.
Marth tries to hold on but Me pushes him away.
Cacildis Me is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Me goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Marth is on top in guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jack Marth.
Marth shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Me as he avoids it easily.

Me seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Marth for as long as he can get away with.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marth manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Me manages to get himself to full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Cacildis Me.
Marth doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Me counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Marth!
Jack Marth has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Cacildis Me has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Marth.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Me in side control lands a decent elbow.

And that's the end of the fight!
Cacildis Me showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Me, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
