The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jenkins Jr clinches up against the cage.

Gonzales's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Gonzales throws the left hand but Jenkins Jr avoids the punch easily.
Gonzales shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jenkins Jr pinned against the cage. Jenkins Jr gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Jenkins Jr gets through Gonzales's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Jenkins Jr lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Gonzales wants to get back to striking at distance but Jenkins Jr won't allow it.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Gonzales breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Jenkins Jr gets control of Gonzales's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jenkins Jr will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Gonzales is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Jenkins Jr has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Gonzales is looking to defend but Jenkins Jr has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Gonzales! Jenkins Jr pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Gonzales taps out and this one is all over!
