PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eli Bernstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Drabek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drabek comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Imagine kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eli Bernstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeff Drabek!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bernstein throws a leg kick

and Drabek counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bernstein cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Drabek is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Drabek sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The fighters are battling for position here. Drabek manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Drabek manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bernstein manages to get himself to full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Drabek accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
