The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander misses with a double jab.
Watson moves in looking to clinch but Alexander pushes him off.
Watson looks to land a right hand but Alexander moved out of range.

Watson moves into the clinch.
Watson is looking to control Alexander's arms but Alexander gets an underhook and turns him. Now Watson has his back to the cage.

Alexander breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Watson takes one to the side of the head.

It looks like Benjamin Watson has been cut.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Watson.
Alexander throws a right and a left that both miss.
Alexander has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Watson is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Alexander swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Watson.

Watson misses with a series of wild punches.
Watson closes the distance but Alexander moves to the side
and Alexander counters with a left and a right that stings Watson.
Watson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Alexander jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Watson tries to clinch but Alexander moves away
and Alexander counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Alexander connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Watson tries to clinch up

and Alexander counters with a nice right hand that sends Watson toppling to the canvas! Watson scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Alexander finish him?!

Watson is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Alexander displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Watson.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Benjamin Watson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Watson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Alexander moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Watson is breathing heavily.

Alexander cracks Watson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Alexander has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Watson to stand back up!
Alexander circles away from the clinch attempt

and Alexander counters with a crisp right hand that drops Watson! Alexander lets Watson back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Oh Watson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Watson tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Alexander counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Watson has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!

A very excited looking Alderic Alexander rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
