The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monroe takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Seaworth pushes Monroe up against the cage in a clinch.
Monroe misses with a hook from the clinch.

Seaworth escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Monroe counters with a three punch combo that has Seaworth backing up. Seaworth nods at Monroe to acknowledge the strikes.
Seaworth ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Seaworth moves out of range as Monroe strikes.
Seaworth lands with a hook. Monroe tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Monroe is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Monroe moves out of range of the strikes.
Seaworth just misses with a punch to the body.
Monroe closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Seaworth, as that shot connected.

Monroe takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Seaworth blocks a jab.
Monroe throws out a loose jab but Seaworth uses good head movement to avoid it.
Seaworth shoots for a takedown but Monroe saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Seaworth throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Monroe.
Seaworth shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Monroe defends it nicely.
Monroe throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Monroe is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Monroe throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Seaworth paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Seaworth shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Monroe manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Seaworth has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Monroe is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Seaworth yanks on the arm and Monroe is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Seaworth.
