Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fred Boyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valentijn Sammens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Sammens's choice of entrance music: PRIDE FC - Opening. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyle loads up on a big right hand but Sammens slips the punch.
Boyle throws a hook but Sammens blocks it.
Sammens throws a front kick aimed at Boyle's knee but Boyle avoids it well.

We've been told by Boyle's head coaches at Rift Fighting Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Sammens avoids the head kick by Boyle.
Sammens throws a head kick that misses.
Sammens throws a combination. Boyle tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Boyle walks forward, straight into a front kick from Sammens.

Sammens can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Boyle controls the pace.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
