Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Aiden McIlvey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and RC King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King moves out of range of the leg kick from McIlvey.
King misses with a takedown
and McIlvey counters with an inside leg kick.
King shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McIlvey sprawls well. McIlvey wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. King gets slowly back to his feet.
King has a takedown stuffed.
Aiden McIlvey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of RC King.

McIlvey manages to get an easy takedown there - catching King on his heels. He'll look to pass King's guard now, I'm sure.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Aiden McIlvey.
King shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McIlvey as he jumps to the side.

King closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McIlvey to the mat! McIlvey manages to get full guard.

King drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and King jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

King drops back looking for a leg! McIlvey is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McIlvey manages to kick King off! King jumps back into McIlvey's guard.
McIlvey looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
McIlvey controls King momentarily but King frees himself.

McIlvey pulls King in close to prevent any damage.

McIlvey has his foot on King's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. King works his way back into a safe position though.
King must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

King postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! McIlvey is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of King, into his guard.
McIlvey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. King swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as King holds on and takes a little breather.
McIlvey forces his way into half guard.

King throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McIlvey's waist but McIlvey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing King off to one side.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
