Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Philip Stinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Steinburg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stinson comes to the cage accompanied by Everywhere I go- Hollywood Undead. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Philip Stinson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Steinburg!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Kavanagh and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stinson is looking to clinch but Steinburg is avoiding it.

Stinson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Stinson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Steinburg swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Our spies down at at Capital Fighting Gym inform us that Steinburg has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Stinson stops Steinburg from standing up.
Stinson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Stinson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Stinson won't allow Steinburg to get back to his feet.

Steinburg wants to sweep here but Stinson controlling him for the moment.

Stinson throws an elbow that misses. Steinburg uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Stinson's guard. Nice move by Steinburg!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Steinburg tries to stand but Stinson is controlling from the bottom.

Steinburg stands up from Stinson's guard - Steinburg perhaps looking for a knockout.
Stinson shoots in looking for a takedown. Steinburg tries to sprawl out of it but Stinson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Steinburg manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Stinson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Steinburg swats him away and circles back towards the center.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Steinburg misses with a hook.
Stinson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Steinburg leaves Stinson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Stinson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Steinburg sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Stinson somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Philip Stinson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stinson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Steinburg defends well and Stinson ends up having to push Steinburg into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Steinburg is looking to break free of the clinch but Stinson has double underhooks.
Steinburg gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Stinson.
Steinburg is pressed up against the cage. Stinson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Steinburg down to the mat. Steinburg avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Stinson wants to clinch.

Stinson wants to clinch but Steinburg slips to the side
and Steinburg counters with a lovely straight right hand!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Stinson shoots in but Steinburg avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Steinburg lands a jab to Stinson's midsection.
Stinson is breathing heavily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Stinson.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A big right from Stinson misses.

Steinburg feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Stinson sprawling to the canvas! Stinson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Steinburg finish him?!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Billy Steinburg dominated that round.
That's time! Stinson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Stinson looks to land a combination. Steinburg sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.


It looks like Philip Stinson has been cut.
Stinson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Steinburg keeps the fight on the outside.
Stinson doesn't manage to clinch there - Steinburg circles away.

Stinson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Steinburg was covering up waiting for the punch and Stinson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Philip Stinson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Steinburg is pulling down on Stinson's head to control his posture.
Steinburg lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Stinson!
Stinson is squirming around, avoiding Steinburg's attempts to control the action.

Steinburg is standing up, even though he is in mount.

Stinson takes the fight into the clinch.
Stinson tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Stinson is looking for a takedown.

Steinburg breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stinson looks for a takedown but Steinburg sprawls well.
Steinburg misses with a jab, cross combination.

Steinburg misses with a looping right.

Steinburg lands a left and a right that send Stinson crashing to the mat, dazed. Steinburg thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stinson is looking to clinch.
Steinburg walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Stinson drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Steinburg swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Stinson's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Billy Steinburg!
