Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Scalante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamar Lawal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Scalante might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Started from the bottom. Lawal has chosen E.S. Posthumus Unstoppable as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawal moves out of range of the strikes.

Lawal looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Scalante!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Lawal working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Lawal is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Scalante has escaped the position, nice work there.

Lawal is trying to get an arm triangle but Scalante is defending well.
Scalante wants to control but Lawal postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lawal is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Scalante is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Scalante is trying to escape the position but Lawal is controlling the position.

Lawal has hold of Scalante's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Scalante seems comfortable defending it but Lawal has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Scalante is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Scalante is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Lawal couldn't care less - he's delighted!

In his post fight interview, Jamar Lawal started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
