The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanaka throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Tanaka dodges the punch combination from Heath.
Heath throws a head kick that misses.
Tanaka ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Heath throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tanaka.
Heath falls off balance throwing a combination
and Tanaka counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Tanaka checks a leg kick nicely.
Tanaka fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Heath throws a body kick that misses.

Tanaka cracks a nice hook into Heath's ribs.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tanaka stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Heath.
Heath throws a push kick but Tanaka slaps the foot to one side.

The fighters circling - Heath throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Tanaka misses with a hook. Heath ducked under it nicely.
Heath throws a looping overhand right but Tanaka ducks down to avoid it.

Tanaka works Heath's body with a nice hook.
Heath avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Heath works over Tanaka's head and body with a nice combination.
Tanaka takes a swing at Heath's ribcage but misses.
Heath throws a hook but Tanaka avoids it easily.
Tanaka is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Heath rather than just go for the knockout.
Heath thows a body kick. Tanaka tries to catch it but that hurt him.

and Tanaka cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Tanaka misses with a wild body shot.
Heath looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

It looks like Kai Heath has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tanaka slips under a jab.
Heath throws a left and a right that both miss
and Tanaka counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Heath is breathing heavily.
Tanaka connects with a leg kick. Heath looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Heath takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Heath blocks a low kick nicely.
Heath moves out of range of the leg kick from Tanaka.
Tanaka rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Heath moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Tanaka drops Heath with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Heath looks back up at him and smiles so Tanaka waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Heath is rocked!
Heath throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Oh Heath is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A solid leg kick lands there for Heath.
Heath on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Tanaka throws a nice outside leg kick.
Tanaka throws a low kick, looking for Heath's leg but Heath calmly moves out of range.
Heath seems to have got his legs back now.
Tanaka throws a leg kick but Heath moved away.
Tanaka throws a leg kick but Heath sees it coming and moves out of range.

Tanaka lands a big uppercut and Heath crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Heath looks OK. Tanaka waves Heath back to his feet!
Kai Heath seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Heath fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Tanaka fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Heath out cold! Brutal finish!
