Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nikola Veljanovski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Razmig Kupelian!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kupelian tries to clinch but Veljanovski moves away

and Veljanovski counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Veljanovski is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Kupelian looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Veljanovski is pressing down on Kupelian's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kupelian is holding on for now.

Veljanovski wants to stand up but Kupelian has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Veljanovski tries to pass to full mount but Kupelian defends it.

Veljanovski moves into range and clinches up with Kupelian.

Veljanovski tightens his grip and picks Kupelian up, before dumping him to the ground. Kupelian manages to land in guard.

Veljanovski shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kupelian but Kupelian pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Veljanovski shoots in and drives through. Kupelian sprawls well.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Veljanovski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kupelian swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Veljanovski closes the distance and clinches up with Kupelian, looking for a takedown. Veljanovski pushes Kupelian against the cage but Kupelian circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Kupelian has had enough of the clinch but Veljanovski keeps him there for the moment.
Veljanovski is trying to pull guard but Kupelian turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Veljanovski's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
