Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Zero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zero comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Fozzy's "Shine Forever" kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ray Zero!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zero bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Souza is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Zero asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Zero wants to lay and pray for a moment but Souza keeps working.
Zero tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Zero has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zero is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Souza has escaped the position, nice work there.
Souza knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zero on the ground.
Zero has hold of Souza 's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Souza seems comfortable defending it but Zero has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Souza is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Souza is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Zero couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ray Zero!
During a confident post fight interview, Ray Zero thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
