Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dima Goldin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ichiro Kosugi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dima Goldin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ichiro Kosugi!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kosugi misses with a two punch combination.
Goldin cracks Kosugi with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

It looks like Ichiro Kosugi has been cut.
A punch combination from Kosugi misses.
Kosugi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Goldin's waist but Goldin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kosugi off to one side.

Goldin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Goldin comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
A short right from Goldin on the inside.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kosugi has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Kosugi tries to pull guard but Goldin won't allow it.
Kosugi dodges an elbow strike from Goldin.

Dima Goldin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ichiro Kosugi.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Goldin tries to land knees in the clinch but Kosugi avoids the damage to the body.
I was talking to Goldin's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Goldin looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Goldin lands a damaging elbow.
Kosugi wants to take the fight to the mat but Goldin manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Kosugi can't get the takedown.
Goldin is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
With the fighters up against the cage, Goldin throws an elbow but misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kosugi is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Goldin to keep the fight standing.
Goldin misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Kosugi.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Kosugi.
Kosugi is looking to take this one to the mat.
Goldin lands an elbow that stopped Kosugi in his tracks for a moment.

That has opened up Ichiro Kosugi's cut even more.
Goldin tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Kosugi avoids it.
Goldin lands a nice elbow.
Goldin pushes off an throws an elbow but Kosugi leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Goldin lands an elbow inside that Kosugi shrugs off.

The cut above Ichiro Kosugi's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Kosugi fails to pull guard.
Goldin missing with knees to the body.
Goldin lands a damaging elbow.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ichiro Kosugi's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Dima Goldin!
A relieved looking Dima Goldin thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
