Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Martin Van Buren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yushi Tatizu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Martin Van Buren!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yushi Tatizu!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Buren moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Van Buren goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Tatizu avoids a punch combination nicely.
Martin Van Buren seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Van Buren slips a jab and a cross from Tatizu.
Tatizu looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Van Buren misses with a double jab.
Van Buren lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Van Buren scores with a jab to the jaw.
Tatizu closes the distance and clinches up with Van Buren, looking for a takedown. Tatizu pushes Van Buren against the cage but Van Buren circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Tatizu shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tatizu goes for a double leg but Van Buren avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Van Buren continues to drive forward.
Martin Van Buren has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yushi Tatizu.
Tatizu jumps guard but Van Buren stands there with Tatizu around his waist. Tatizu gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Van Buren is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tatizu is working for takedown but Van Buren is calmly controlling the position for now.
Van Buren tries to break the clinch but Tatizu is controlling the position.
Tatizu fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Van Buren has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Tatizu wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Van Buren has him pressed against the cage.

Van Buren breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Tatizu shoots in and gets a takedown into Van Buren's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Tatizu gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Tatizu tries to move into range but Van Buren moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Tatizu closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Van Buren connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Van Buren jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Van Buren lands a jab to Tatizu's midsection.
Van Buren lands a really nice looking cross but Tatizu seems unphased.
Van Buren connects with a looping right hand.

Tatizu is rocked!
Tatizu takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Tatizu is still on wobbly legs! Can Van Buren finish him?
and Van Buren counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Tatizu! He's just covering up as Van Buren starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
