Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ember Grestone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Junior Brandon!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksandr Martynov and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grestone shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Brandon is trying to defend but Grestone finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Brandon is trying to control but can't.
Brandon tries to roll over but Grestone keeps him under control.
Grestone not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brandon makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Brandon.

Grestone postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Brandon is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Grestone, into his guard.

We've been informed that Brandon has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Grestone had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Brandon defends it easily.
Grestone keeping moving, preventing Brandon from controlling successfully.
Brandon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Grestone swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Grestone not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Grestone is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Brandon is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Junior Brandon has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

and Brandon counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Brandon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Brandon wants it to stay on the feet.

Grestone shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Brandon napping and manages to drive through into side control!
