Russell comes to the ring accompanied by Robin Thicke - Blurred Lines. Franco Williams is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Franco Williams!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Williams clinches up with Russell and pushes him back against the ropes.

Williams's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Williams cracks the inside of Russell's front leg.
Williams has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Russell is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Williams paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Williams is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Williams catches Russell with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Williams rushes Russell and presses him up against the ropes.

Russell is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Williams lands a leg kick that knocks Russell off balance momentarily.

Williams throws out a head kick that Russell doesn't see coming - it connects and sends Russell crashing to the mat face first! He's bounced up to his knees and is scrambling to get back to his feet and beat the count. He's up on 5 but still looks a bit groggy; will the referee allow it to continue??? He's taking a good look into Russell's eyes and has decided to let it go on!


Russell is rocked!

Williams connects with a leg kick. Russell looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Oh Russell is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Williams darts in and clinches Russell up against the ropes.
Russell seems to have got his legs back now.
Williams creates a bit of space and fires a knee right up the middle, almost lifting Russell off his feet and sending him crashing to the canvas! Russell is trying to get back to his feet but his equilibrium is completely gone! The referee has called it off! This fight is over! Williams is jumping up and down like a mad man, celebrating with his cornermen.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Franco Williams!
