PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ab Soul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rock Trumble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ab Soul!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rock Trumble!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trumble shoots in and drives through. Soul sprawls well.
Soul defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Trumble.
Trumble misses with a takedown attempt - Soul sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Ab Soul has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rock Trumble.
Trumble changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Soul tries to avoid it but Trumble manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Soul to the ground. Soul escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Trumble will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Trumble is defended easily by Soul.
Trumble looks winded!
Trumble tries to clinch up but Soul circles away and keeps his distance.
Trumble tries to score a power double leg takedown but Soul sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Trumble somewhat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Trumble closes the distance but Soul moves to the side

and Soul counters with a nice double leg into side control. Trumble won't be happy with that.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Soul has an Americana. Trumble didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Soul is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Soul hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Ab Soul!
