Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phoenix Valentine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jules Winnfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Valentine comes to the cage accompanied by Liquid Tension Experiment - Acid Rain. Jules Winnfield will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jules Winnfield!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Kavanagh and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winnfield throws a right hand that misses
and Valentine counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Winnfield!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Valentine looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Winnfield is avoiding damage well.
Winnfield pushes Valentine away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Valentine gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Winnfield told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Valentine postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
