PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Kirby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Trane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kirby comes to the cage accompanied by Forgot about dre.. On his way into the cage it seems that John Kirby has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily John Kirby seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Trane!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trane is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A right-left combo lands from Kirby.
Kirby lands with a good body shot.
Kirby finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Trane misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kirby.
Kirby waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Trane.
Kirby takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.


It looks like John Kirby has been cut.
Kirby tries to bum rush Trane with a series of wild strikes but Trane uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Trane will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Kirby takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Trane throws a head kick but Kirby moves out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Trane throws a hook to the side of Kirby's head but Kirby sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Kirby gets tackled into the cage by Trane. Trane maintains the clinch.
Kirby lands a left hand that snaps the head of Trane backwards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Trane avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Trane tries to clinch but Kirby is having none of it.
Nice uppercut lands for Trane. That snapped Kirby's head back.
Kirby throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kirby throws a hook but Trane avoids it easily.

Trane tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kirby swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kirby does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Kirby fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Trane looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Kirby takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Trane on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Trane throws a looping overhand right but Kirby ducks down to avoid it.
Trane uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kirby.
Kirby throws the left hand but Trane avoids the punch easily.
John Kirby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Trane throws a hook but Kirby avoids it easily.
Trane thumps Kirby with a low kick.
Trane tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kirby paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Trane has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

John Trane comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Trane has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
