The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kunnas cracks Santoro with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Santoro looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kunnas slips a straight right by Santoro.
Santoro loads up on a big right hand but Kunnas slips the punch.
Kunnas cracks a nice hook into Santoro's ribs.
Santoro misses with a double jab
and Santoro takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kunnas lands a slapping body shot.
Kunnas lands with a hook. Santoro tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
A cross from Kunnas lands.

Santoro is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kunnas swinging wildly here.
Oh Santoro is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Santoro avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Santoro shoots in looking for a takedown but Kunnas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Santoro's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Santoro seems to have got his legs back now.
Santoro lands with a nice combination. Kunnas backs away looking to recover.
Santoro looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kunnas is fending him off so far but Santoro persists. Nope, Kunnas circles away and we're back to standing.
The fighters circling - Kunnas throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kunnas throws a shot from downtown. Santoro moves away and avoids it.

Santoro misses with a two punch combination.
Kunnas thows a body kick. Santoro tries to catch it but that hurt him.
A combination from Santoro does no damage.
Kunnas scores with a leg kick.

Kunnas lands a big uppercut and Santoro crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Santoro looks OK. Kunnas waves Santoro back to his feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Santoro fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kunnas avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nicky Santoro. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Santoro rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kunnas counters with a crisp right that sends Santoro to the canvas! Kunnas follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
