Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taka Hana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guybrush Threepwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Threepwood misses the target.

and Hana counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Threepwood felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Hana is taking a breather. Threepwood says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Hana is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Threepwood's shoulder. That is not cool.
Hana's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Hana has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Taka Hana overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Taka Hana.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hana, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
