The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Selic shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hispanyola napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Selic wants to control but Hispanyola is keeping him busy.
Selic is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hispanyola is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Hispanyola is trying to improve his position.
Selic scores with punches from side control.
Hispanyola tries to bench press Selic off him but Selic keeps the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Selic looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Selic thows a huge punch but Hispanyola dodges it nicely.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Selic shoots in and gets a takedown into Hispanyola's guard.

Hispanyola bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Selic's guard.

Hispanyola won't let Selic get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hispanyola wants to finish this one by submission but Selic is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Hispanyola.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Selic tries to lock up and control but Hispanyola gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ronaldo Hispanyola will probably get the nod.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Selic.
Hispanyola misses with an uppercut. Selic saw that one coming.
Selic throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hispanyola tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Selic is in Hispanyola's guard.

Hispanyola is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Selic wants to improve his position but Hispanyola is controlling well.

Selic is staying active underneath Hispanyola, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Hispanyola takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Hispanyola wants to lay and pray for a moment but Selic keeps working.
Hispanyola is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Selic is just riding it out for now. Hispanyola eventually gives up the hold.

Selic is looking to control Hispanyola's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Selic avoid being mounted?

Selic works Hispanyola's body with a nice hook.
Selic throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hispanyola was covering up waiting for the punch and Selic finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hispanyola is looking to cinch up a triangle. Selic throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Hispanyola's body to avoid the submission. Hispanyola has instead reached around Selic's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Hispanyola arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Ronaldo Hispanyola!
