Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rick James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Filo Bedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Bedo's choice of entrance music: Every Which Way But Loose. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Filo Bedo was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

James clinches up against the cage.

Bedo tries to throw a body punch but James avoids it by throwing Bedo back against the cage.

James feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Bedo's calf.

Bedo misses with an uppercut. James saw that one coming.
James throws a right hand that Bedo ducks under and follows up with a left that Bedo also avoids with ease.
James throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bedo throws a head kick but James moves out of range.
Bedo does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Bedo throws a right and a left that James avoids nicely.
James tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bedo paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bedo goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
James looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
James lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Filo Bedo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and James counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

James stalks Bedo and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bedo's face. Bedo staggers backwards, shaken.
Bedo stuns James with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

James thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Bedo if he has to take too many more of those.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Bedo in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
