PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tom Araya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Fertit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fertit comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Thunderstruck kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Araya.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Araya.
Araya lands a with a good body shot.
Araya bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Araya throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Araya throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Mike Fertit has been cut.
Fertit takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fertit takes one on the button.
Araya lands with a nice combination. Fertit backs away looking to recover.
Araya avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Fertit looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Fertit drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Araya dives on top into guard.
Araya will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Fertit throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Fertit is looking for a triangle here but Araya uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Araya wants to stand but Fertit has his arm trapped.
Fertit throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Fertit looking for a sweep but Araya has passed into full mount! Oh no!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Fertit wants to hold on but Araya pushes him away.
Fertit regains half guard.
Fertit misses with some strikes from the bottom.
