PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Storm Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Figure (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silver fails with the takedown
and Figure counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Figure leaves Silver with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Figure tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Silver manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Silver gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Figure counters by clinching up.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Storm Silver. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Figure wants to break the clinch but can't.
Figure is trying to maintain a safe position but Silver gets an underhook and turns Figure into the cage.
Figure missing with knees to the body.
Silver jumps guard but Figure turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Silver has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Figure uses from the top position.
Silver definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Figure trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Silver working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Figure doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Silver is tightening it up a little... Figure has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Figure reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Figure taps out! Nice BJJ there by Silver!
