The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Reed Andrews and Eddie Farnsworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalas scores with a head kick. Beacon tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Kalas lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Kalas gets tackled into the cage by Beacon. Beacon maintains the clinch.

Beacon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kalas is looking to clinch.
Kalle Kalas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kalas scores with a nice body kick.
Kalas rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Beacon moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Beacon darts in and clinches Kalas up against the cage.
Kalas is looking to break free of the clinch but Beacon has double underhooks.

Beacon jumps into guard, dragging Kalas to the mat.
Beacon pulls Kalas in close to prevent any damage.
Kalas missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Beacon throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Beacon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kalas content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back.
Kalas throws a big elbow that misses.
Kalas must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Beacon looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Beacon wants to sweep here but Kalas controlling him for the moment.

Beacon is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Kalas frees his head nicely. Oh but Beacon has switched to an armbar! Kalas is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
