Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dallas Riley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rendo Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Riley closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Gracie quickly recovers to half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Gracie is trying to stand up here but Riley is controlling him well.

Riley is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Still in half guard, Riley seems content to control.
Riley wants to get back to his feet.
Gracie wants to get back to his feet.
Gracie is trying to control but Riley manages to pass to mount!

Riley lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Gracie hang on?

Riley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Riley is looking to clinch but Gracie is avoiding it.

Gracie feints and as Riley raises his hands in defense, Gracie changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Riley has momentary wrist control but Gracie slips an elbow through the middle.

Gracie avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Gracie wanted to stand there but Riley had control of the position.

Riley is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Riley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Riley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gracie sprawls well. Gracie wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Riley gets slowly back to his feet.
Gracie throws a nice looking combination but Riley bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Gracie tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Riley just stands there and leans against the cage.

Riley wants the takedown. Gracie is fighting it off but Riley persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Gracie's guard against the cage.

Gracie is looking for a sweep. Riley is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Riley is looking to take a break and control but Gracie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Riley can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gracie is looking to escape.
Gracie tries to lock up and control but Riley gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Gracie wants to stand but Riley has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dallas Riley wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Riley closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Gracie won't allow Riley to pass to mount.
Gracie wants to improve his position but Riley is controlling well.

Riley is trying to control the action in half guard but Gracie is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Riley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Dallas Riley just wasn't active enough.

Gracie is trying to buck Riley off.

Riley decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Gracie looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Riley is fending him off so far but Gracie persists. Nope, Riley circles away and we're back to standing.
Riley pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Some wild striking there from Riley.
Riley is looking to clinch but Gracie is avoiding it.
Riley shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Gracie eats them both and turns towards Riley to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Riley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Gracie is looking to clinch but Riley is avoiding it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gracie gets tackled into the cage by Riley. Riley maintains the clinch.

Riley wants to slow Gracie down by chopping away at his legs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Riley wants to clinch.
Riley fails to land the takedown.

Gracie tries to clinch but Riley moves out of range.

Gracie must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Riley swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gracie gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Riley shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gracie pinned against the cage. Gracie gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Riley napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Riley can't do much from the bottom here.
Riley is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Riley is trying to control Gracie's posture but Gracie avoids it.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Riley gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Gracie wants to free his trapped foot but Riley is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Gracie throwing shots but Riley is blocking nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Riley tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Gracie has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Riley is controlling an arm, preventing Gracie from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Gracie can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Riley is looking to escape.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Riley regains half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Rendo Gracie.
I think Riley has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
