Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jon Eliott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Eero Niinimaa!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eliott has a takedown stuffed.
Niinimaa fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

The crowd cheers as Niinimaa lands an impressive looking overhand right. Eliott doesn't seem phased though.

Eliott walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Niinimaa is defending against the submission attempts here by Eliott.
Niinimaa is looking for a sweep. Eliott is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Niinimaa has a hand on Eliott's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Eliott takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Niinimaa felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Eliott is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Niinimaa to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Niinimaa shrugs it off.
Niinimaa is squirming around, avoiding Eliott's attempts to control the action.
Eliott postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Niinimaa looks a forlorn figure.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Niinimaa is desperately trying to improve his position but Eliott has a good base and remains in mount.
Eliott can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Niinimaa is looking to escape.
Eliott avoids the attempt from Niinimaa to control.
Eliott lands a big elbow.
Niinimaa bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Eliott is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Niinimaa is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Eliott has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Niinimaa can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Eero Niinimaa wasn't active enough on the ground.

Nice uppercut lands for Niinimaa. That snapped Eliott's head back.

Eliott is breathing heavily.
Eliott takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Niinimaa lands with an overhand left.
Eliott shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Niinimaa sends Eliott crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Niinimaa is motioning to the referee to let Eliott up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!


Eliott is rocked!
Eliott misses with a jab, cross combination.
Oh Eliott is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Niinimaa fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eero Niinimaa dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Jon Eliott's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Niinimaa ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Eliott seems to have got his legs back now.
Niinimaa with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Niinimaa cracks Eliott's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Eliott slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Niinimaa can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Eero Niinimaa!
