The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karpecny tries to close the distance and clinch up but Olivieira swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Olivieira shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Karpecny but Karpecny pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Karpecny tries to clinch up but Olivieira circles away and keeps his distance.
Olivieira dodges the punch combination from Karpecny.

Karpecny shoots in and bounces Olivieira off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Olivieira wants to get back to his feet but Karpecny is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Olivieira is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Karpecny is aware though and is defending well.
Karpecny trying to control the position from guard on top but Olivieira is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Karpecny tries to stand but Olivieira is controlling from the bottom.
Karpecny really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Olivieira. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Karpecny wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Olivieira's closed guard. He's half up but Olivieira has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Olivieira pivots and extends the arm, Karpecny falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Olivieira! Well done that man!
