The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves throws a big shot that misses.
Alves misses with an uppercut. Rocket saw that one coming.
Rocket defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Alves.
Alves tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rocket closes the distance and clinches.
Rocket lands an elbow just above Alves 's eye.
It looks like Danilo Alves has been cut.
Alves crunches a lovely knee into Rocket's ribcage.
Rocket's coach down at Beast farming was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Rocket's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Rocket wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Alves lands an elbow just above Rocket 's eye.
It looks like Giovanni Rocket has been cut.

Rocket creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Alves's defenses.

Rocket lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Alves backwards.

Alves drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rocket pulls his leg out and moves away.

A jab from Rocket finds it's way through Alves's defenses.
Alves takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Alves shoots in for a takedown but Rocket shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Rocket lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Alves circles away quickly and effectively.

Alves throws out a loose jab but Rocket uses good head movement to avoid it.

Rocket fails with an attempt to clinch.

Alves gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Rocket lands a big right hand that sends Alves crashing to the mat! Rocket stays standing though and waves Alves back to his feet!

Rocket uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Alves.

Alves comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Rocket knocks Alves out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
