Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carter Yang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yup Noper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noper changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Yang tries to avoid it but Noper manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Yang to the ground. Yang escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Yang.
Yang stuffs the takedown.
Yang tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Noper manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Noper looks for a takedown but Yang sprawls well.
Carter Yang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yup Noper.
Yang throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Noper misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Yang throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Noper counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Noper is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Yang is defending well for now.

Yang jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Noper walks away with a smile on his face. Yang gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Yang throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Noper's waist but Noper gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Yang off to one side.
Yang is breathing heavily.
Noper will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Yang leaves Noper with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Yang has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Noper is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Yang.

Noper thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Noper wants to control but Yang is keeping him busy.

Noper throwing strikes but Yang manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

That was a close round but I would say that Carter Yang will probably get the nod.

Noper tries to score a power double leg takedown but Yang sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Noper somewhat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
