Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Conn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Fighter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, William Conn!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Anthony Taglia and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fighter fails with a takedown attempt.
Fighter misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Conn.
Fighter tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Conn swivels and escapes.
Fighter throws a front kick aimed at Conn's knee but Conn avoids it well.
Fighter avoids a punch combination nicely.
Conn lands with a nice body punch.
Fighter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Conn's waist but Conn gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fighter off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Fighter. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fighter tries to bum rush Conn with a series of wild strikes but Conn uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

William Conn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fighter tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Conn defends well and Fighter ends up having to push Conn into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Conn shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Fighter eats them both and turns towards Conn to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
A looping hook to the body misses from Fighter. Conn does a little dance to reset his feet.

Conn moves into the clinch successfully.
Conn fails to pull guard.
Conn keeps control of Fighter as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Conn is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Fighter tries to close the distance and clinch but Conn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Fighter moves out of range of the body kick.
Conn tries to bum rush Fighter with a series of wild strikes but Fighter uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Fighter shoots in for a takedown but Conn shows good takedown defense.

Conn scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Fighter. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Conn misses with the combination.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Fighter keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fighter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Conn as he jumps to the side.

Conn moves into range and clinches up with Fighter.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Conn breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Fighter shoots in looking for a takedown. Conn tries to sprawl out of it but Fighter keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Conn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fighter takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Conn shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fighter is trying to defend but Conn finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Fighter tries to roll over but Conn keeps him under control.
Conn is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Fighter pushes Conn off but Conn dives into side control.
Fighter trying to remain calm as Conn controls from the top position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fighter is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Conn asserts his dominance and retains side control.

And that's the end of the fight!
William Conn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Conn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
