Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pizdets Polniy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shoney Rottie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shoney Rottie will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Polniy fails with the takedown.

Polniy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rottie paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Polniy shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Polniy showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Polniy is looking for a kimura here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rottie can do anything to dispel that myth.
Polniy prevents Rottie from improving his position.
Polniy controlling the action here.
Polniy looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rottie with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Rottie is controlling Polniy's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Rottie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Polniy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Rottie is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Polniy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Polniy tries to get to full guard but Rottie has control of the leg.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Shoney Rottie.

Rottie tries to keep at a distance but Polniy has taken the fight into the clinch.
Polniy has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rottie is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pizdets Polniy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rottie misses with a shot to the kidneys.
We've been informed that Rottie has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Rottie can't find room to land a body shot as Polniy controls the action.
Polniy wants to break the clinch but can't.
Rottie is leaning against Polniy and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Polniy takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Rottie struggles to land a body shot inside as Polniy controls his hands.

Rottie doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Polniy on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Rottie tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Rottie tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Polniy's elbow.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Polniy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Rottie feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Polniy sprawling to the canvas! Polniy rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Rottie finish him?!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Polniy takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rottie drops Polniy with a naaaaasty hook - Polniy is in real trouble here! Rottie dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
