Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lazarus Po (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Zerra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Po comes to the cage accompanied by Tribal Seeds- Vampire. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lazarus Po!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Zerra!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zerra moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


It looks like Lazarus Po has been cut.
Zerra looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Zerra falls off balance throwing a combination
and Po counters with a good, hard body kick but Zerra shrugs it off.
Po checks a low kick from Zerra.
Po misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Zerra throws a sloppy head kick
and Po counters with a big head kick but Zerra shrugs it off.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Zerra rushes Po and presses him up against the cage.
Po throws a head punch that misses.
Zerra tries for a takedown but Po manages to get underhooks.
Zerra is trying to push Po away but Po has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
A nice right hand lands inside from Po.

Zerra throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Po sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Zerra swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

and Po counters with an outside leg kick.
Zerra misses with a few strikes there.

and Po counters with a nice low kick that buckles Zerra's knee momentarily.

Zerra is trying hard to land a takedown here. Po sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

and Po counters with a nice uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Zerra fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
No luck for Zerra with that takedown attempt.
Lazarus Po has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Zerra.
Zerra throws the left hand but Po avoids the punch easily.
Zerra tests Po's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Po uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Zerra.

and Po counters with a good low kick that Zerra was not able to check.

Zerra has taken the fight to the clinch.
Zerra takes an elbow to the forehead.
Zerra tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Zerra has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Po is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Knees in the clinch landing for Po.
Zerra jumps guard but Po stands there with Zerra around his waist. Zerra gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Po lands a nice elbow.
Po crunches a lovely knee into Zerra's ribcage.

Po escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Zerra sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Matt Zerra seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zerra looks winded!
Zerra walks into a straight right hand from Po.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Zerra throws a sloppy head kick
and Po counters with a good, hard body kick but Zerra shrugs it off.
Po pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Zerra shoots in for a double leg but Po sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Zerra fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Zerra jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Zerra throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Po uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Zerra.

and Po counters with a low kick, right behind Zerra 's knee.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Zerra pulls out of a head kick attempt.

and Po counters with a thumping low kick.
Po connects with a leg kick. Zerra looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lazarus Po dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Lazarus Po's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Zerra misses with a hook to the body
and Po counters with a slapping leg kick.
Zerra tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Po manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Zerra throws a jab when Po was well out of range.
A nice inside leg kick there by Po. That's going to slow Zerra down.
Zerra fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Po checks it well.
Lazarus Po is winning the standup battle so far.
Po slips a jab from Zerra.
Zerra throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Po on the side of the head.
Zerra changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Po tries to avoid it but Zerra manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Po to the ground. Po escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
An inside leg kick lands from Po.
Zerra is breathing heavily.
Po keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Zerra.
Po connects with a leg kick. Zerra looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Zerra steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Po. That one must have hurt.
Zerra takes a kick to the side of the head.
Lazarus Po is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Po throws a head kick that misses.
Zerra swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Po thumps Zerra with a low kick.
Po throws a head kick that misses.
Crunch! Po slams his shin into Zerra's torso.

Po fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Zerra has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Lazarus Po has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Zerra.
Po ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Po can't find room to land a body shot as Zerra controls the action.

and Po counters with a nice low kick that buckles Zerra's knee momentarily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Zerra's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Po lands with a kick to the temple. Zerra shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Zerra throws a jab when Po was well out of range.
Zerra throws a leg kick that is checked
and Po counters with a good, hard body kick but Zerra shrugs it off.

Zerra shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Po's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Po wants to stand and escape but Zerra is having none of it.
Zerra loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Zerra throws a big elbow that misses.
Zerra takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Po wants to stand but Zerra is controlling the position.
Zerra has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Po is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Zerra presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
A frustrated look appears on Zerra's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Zerra lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Po misses with a knee strike.
Po blocks an uppercut.

Zerra drags the fight down to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Po has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Zerra is proving hard to escape from.
Zerra thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Zerra wants to sweep here but Po controlling him for the moment.
Zerra is trying to control the position but Po postures up.
Po tries to stand but Zerra is controlling from the bottom.
Zerra throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Po tries to free his leg and advance position but Zerra is retaining full guard.

Zerra is working an open guard so Po takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Zerra lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Zerra smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Zerra goes for a double leg but Po avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Po continues to drive forward.
This has been an exciting period of action!
