The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Philips thows a body shot but no joy.
Philips throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Baba closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Philips to the mat! Philips manages to get full guard.
Baba throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Baba trying to control but Philips is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Baba is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Baba throws a strike but Philips rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Baba is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Philips wants to get up but he can't break Baba's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Philips trying to control the position from guard on top but Baba is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Baba wants to sweep but no luck.
Philips passes Baba's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Philips is looking for a kimura but Baba is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Philips to get the leverage.

Philips passes into side control, despite Baba's attempt to control the position.
Baba tries to improve position but can't.

Philips in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Baba is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
