Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bernard Benton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and TJ Maximus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Benton might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to N.W.A - Straight Outta Compton. Maximus is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Time Is Running Out. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximus jabs Benton to the body, keeping him at a distance.

I was talking to Benton's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Maximus's coach down at Full Affliction Fight Team was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Maximus's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Benton lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Maximus backwards.

Maximus is pressed up against the cage. Benton has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Maximus down to the mat. Maximus avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Benton looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Benton backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Maximus's temple! It sends Maximus violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Benton celebrates and the doctors try to help Maximus!
