Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Stan Rivers!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cell goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Rivers is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cell.
Cell lands with a nice body punch.
Rivers throws a jab but it's blocked by Cell.
Cell dodges the punch combination from Rivers.
Rivers getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Rivers throws a right and a left that both miss.
Rivers lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Cell is rocked!
Rivers takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Oh Cell is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rivers throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Cell counters with a shoot takedown. Rivers fights it but they end up in guard.
Cell seems to have got his legs back now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Cell advances to half guard.
Cell drops an elbow to the side of Rivers's head.
Cell is pressing down on Rivers's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rivers is holding on for now.
Rivers is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Cell is trying to control the action in half guard but Rivers is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Cell looking to ground and pound but Rivers is blocking nicely.

Cell avoids the attempt from Rivers to control.
Cell is landing with some decent strikes but Rivers is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Cell throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Cell looking to control but Rivers is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Cell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Rivers is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cell unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Rivers wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Cell celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
