Slyker comes to the cage accompanied by It's Amazing by Kanye West. Cain Slyker has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
YaDown misses with a double jab.
Slyker closes this distance looking for a takedown but YaDown circles away.
YaDown throws a shot from downtown. Slyker moves away and avoids it.
Slyker tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but YaDown swivels and escapes.
Horrible takedown by Slyker or perhaps it was just good defense by YaDown which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cain Slyker. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Slyker fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging YaDown to the ground. Slyker is now in YaDown's guard.
Slyker with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Slyker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Slyker accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
YaDown is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've been hearing that Slyker has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

YaDown is still in real trouble! Can Slyker finish him?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Slyker loads up on a big left hand. YaDown felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Slyker looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! YaDown can't hide his disappointment, as Slyker celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cain Slyker!
A relieved looking Cain Slyker thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
