Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Denis Kang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Wayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Denis Kang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bruce Wayne!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Columbo Gatti and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kang thows a body shot but no joy.

Wayne closes the distance and clinches.
Kang goes for a takedown attempt but Wayne pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
With the fighters up against the cage, Wayne throws an elbow but misses.

Wayne is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Wayne is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wayne has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Kang off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Wayne gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.


It looks like Denis Kang has been cut.
Wayne pushes off an throws an elbow but Kang leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Kang tries to pull guard but Wayne holds him up against the cage and eventually Kang drops back down to his feet.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Denis Kang will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Wayne darts in trying to clinch

and Kang counters by clinching up.

Wayne is keen to just control but Kang is a slippery customer.

Kang has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Wayne uses from the top position.

Kang throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wayne's waist but Wayne gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kang off to one side.

Denis Kang overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
